Terms of Service
Effective date: 20 April 2026
The official language of these terms is English. Translations, if provided, are for convenience only.
1. About these terms
These terms of service (“Terms”) form a legal agreement between you and Arda Future Limited(“Theorio”, “we”, “us”) governing your use of theorio.co.uk and the Theorio application (together, the “Service”).
By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
Service provider: Arda Future Limited
UK Company Number: 17133300
Registered office: 24 Bishops Close, Richmond, London TW10 7DF, United Kingdom
Support: info@theorio.co.uk
2. Eligibility
The Service is intended for users aged 16 or older. By using the Service you confirm that you are at least 16 and, if required by the law of your place of residence, have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
3. Your account
To use most features of the Service you must create an account. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that takes place under your account.
You agree to provide accurate information when registering and to keep that information up to date. You may close your account at any time by emailing info@theorio.co.uk.
4. The Service and learning materials
Theorio is a study tool for the UK driving theory test. It provides practice questions, explanations in multiple languages, adaptive learning features, and an AI-assisted study coach.
The Service includes the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) revision question bank, reproduced under a Crown Copyright licence granted to Arda Future Limited. Crown Copyright material remains the property of the Crown; our licence permits reproduction but does not transfer ownership.
The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) has given permission for the reproduction of Crown copyright material. DVSA does not accept responsibility for the accuracy of the reproduction.
This product includes the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) revision question bank.
Theorio does not guarantee that you will pass the UK driving theory test. The Service is a study aid. Passing the test depends on your own preparation and the decision of the DVSA.
5. AI-generated content
Some content in the Service has been generated using a large language model (Claude, provided by Anthropic): question explanations were AI-generated and are now fixed, and a study coach summary is generated for you after a mock test. AI-generated content is labelled where displayed and is provided for educational support. It may contain errors and should not be relied on as definitive legal or driving guidance.
The official source for UK road rules is the Highway Code and materials published by the DVSA. Where Theorio's explanations differ from official materials, the official materials prevail.
If you believe an explanation is incorrect, please report it to info@theorio.co.uk.
6. Subscriptions and payment
Theorio offers free and paid plans. Paid plans are processed by Stripe and are billed at the price shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase. Prices include VAT where applicable.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account settings or by emailing info@theorio.co.uk. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund the current period unless you have a statutory right to refund under these Terms or UK law.
Payment processing is scheduled to go live once our launch infrastructure is complete. Where these Terms describe paid plans, they describe the model that will apply at that time.
7. Your statutory right to cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, if you are a consumer based in the UK or EU you have 14 days from purchase to cancel and receive a refund of the fee you paid.
If you begin using the paid features of the Service during the 14-day cancellation period, you acknowledge that we will begin performing the service immediately. If you then cancel, we may deduct a proportionate amount for the service already supplied.
To cancel, email info@theorio.co.uk within 14 days of purchase.
8. Acceptable use
You agree that you will not:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these Terms;
- share your account credentials with anyone else or allow multiple people to study under one account;
- scrape, copy, redistribute, resell, or republish any content from the Service, including practice questions, explanations, and AI-generated material;
- use automated tools (bots, crawlers, scripts) to access the Service except where we have given written permission;
- attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the source code of the Service;
- upload or transmit content that is unlawful, abusive, threatening, or infringes any third party's rights;
- interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.
9. Intellectual property
All intellectual property rights in the Service — including the software, user interface, branding, and AI-generated explanations — are owned by Arda Future Limited or its licensors.
DVSA theory test materials, when incorporated, remain the property of the Crown and are used under the terms of our Crown Copyright licence.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the Service for your own private, non-commercial study. All other rights are reserved.
10. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under UK law.
Subject to the above, we are not liable to you for: loss of profit, loss of business, loss of goodwill, loss of anticipated savings, or any indirect or consequential loss; nor for any failure of the Service caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Service is limited to the total fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close your account if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continuing to provide the Service to you poses a security or legal risk. Where practical we will give you notice and an opportunity to put things right.
You may close your account at any time by emailing info@theorio.co.uk.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do we will update the effective date at the top. Where changes are material we will notify account holders by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland may bring claims in the courts of their place of residence.
